ABOUT DUNCAN ROWE
I am interested in the application of life sciences to industry, particularly the use of synthetic biology, biotechnology, biomimicry, biosensors,(lab on a chip) and green chemistry as sustainable sources to manufacture commodity and specialist chemicals and therapeutics. That is the field of bio-utilization. I am also interested in the application of strategic thinking for sustainable sourcing in the area of bio-renewables and their replacement of a chemicals derived from petroleum. I have recently finished a Masters degree in Biomimicry, online and part-time at the College of Global Futures, School of Complex Adaptive Systems, Arizona State University and with Biomimicry 3.8 Institute. That is the application of Life\'s Principles and an ethos as best practice for problem solving and improving a goal by engaging with Nature. I think to use my training as a practitioner of biomimicry with bio-utilization in the the sectors of biotechnology and feedstocks for the dyeing and fashion industries.
