Department Chair for one of the nation’s oldest Historical Black Colleges and Universities. Reports directly to the dean for all matters pertaining to research, faculty administration, and student affairs in the business department. Reports directly to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement and Enrollment for all matters related to fundraising, recruitment, and retention. Principle duties include direct supervision of all faculty across six distinct undergraduate business disciplines, two graduate disciplines, and the business department’s executive education programs. Serves as the business department’s primary point of contact for the department’s student body of 200 students. Responsibilities include budgeting, faculty hiring, fundraising, enrollment, retention, and AACSB accreditation. Teaching Sectionals include Introduction to Entrepreneurial Development, Introduction to Management, and Introduction to Executive Leadership. Creates contracts and programs for semester, summer, and year-long study abroad opportunities for the business school and the university at large. Represents the university in interactions with the Chamber of Commerce. Established the annual Women’s Entrepreneurship Week at Fisk, and advises teams for the HBCU New Venture Challenge.
