ABOUT DUNCAN BAKER

Former Member of Parliament for North Norfolk, Finance Director, qualified financial planner and Non Exec Director with proven leadership experience. Now in a senior leadership role with one of the region\'s fastest growing companies, Brineflow Ltd. We are a leading national supplier of liquid fertiliser products, supplying the agricultural industry, importing globally into our state of the art shipping terminals and growing by 25% annually. Our joint partnership with global conglomerate HELM AG, has driven multi million pound investment and growth, enabling us to be one of the fastest growing businesses in Norfolk.In my Parliamentary career, I focused on environmental, finance, health and housing matters, serving four Secretaries of State. I served on the highest environmental committee in Parliament for all of my Parliamentary career and was a member of the environmental audit committee and vice chairman of the Net Zero APPG. I brought Bills into the House on matters such as banking, decarbonisation and special educational needs. I left Parliament with an exemplary record of public service, respected throughout East Anglia. Prior to public service, I was a highly experienced Chartered Accountant, and well-known business and finance professional, with a proven track record of co running significant medium sized businesses.I was the Finance & IT Director for a decade at the CT Baker Group, a well established and major retailing group across North Norfolk. I have worked in industry, across a range of disciplines and as a Finance Director had significant commercial and operational responsibility for finance, IT, operations, legal, governance, H&S, projects and property matters. This included structural and strategic planning at Board level, acquiring new businesses and integrating new systems and processes.Adept, well connected and highly knowledgeable across a complete range of business sectors, with high degree of awareness to changing public policy, emerging legislation and economic risks.
