I am a CEO of Café Corazón, a family-owned, Indigenous, and Latin-owned coffee shop that I started alongside my parents in November 2019. Our mission is to give our heritage a voice while celebrating the rich cultures of Latin America—the very regions where coffee originates. Since then, we’ve grown to 3 locations in Kansas City, in Westport, Brookside, and the Crossroads. Our commitment goes beyond fair trade; all of our coffee is ethically sourced, organic, and rooted in sustainability. We proudly partner with local vendors for our products and merchandise, ensuring that everything we offer supports our community. We have won Top 10 best Businesses in Kansas City 2025, Kansas City’s Best Hispanic Business 2023. As a company, our story has been on platforms like PBS, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, and more we strive to uplift our community through cultural representation and economic support.
