ABOUT MICHAEL DÜRGNER
Michael rejoined the Zalando Tech Hub in Dortmund after one year in Helsinki and eight month in Lisbon. He will be leading teams working on the fulfilment core network. Before that he lead the engineering in Zalando\'s third international hub in Lisbon. Previously he has been an Engineering Lead at the Zalando Tech Hub Helsinki leading a team of engineers that help external partners to integrate with the Zalando Fashion Store. Prior to this role he was a Delivery Lead at Zalando SE driving software development and architecture for tools and solutions to connect all the players on the fashion market with a focus on getting influencers like fashion bloggers connected.Prior to working with Zalando SE, Michael was a Co-Founder and CTO of TheAmazeApp (sold to Zalando SE), a mobile app company offering an inspirational fashion shopping app. AMAZE combines the inspirational part of fashion shopping as known from magazines like VOGUE or Instagram with an easy and integrated way to buy products directly at one of Europe\'s biggest fashion retailers.Before founding TheAmazeApp Michael was one of the Co-Founders at Pockets United, a mobile group payment startup as well as Freelance Software Engineer helping different startups building scalable backend. He started his professional career as one of the first employees at Aloqa, a location-based mobile app that was eventually acquired by Motorola Mobility Inc.Michael holds a Master\'s degree in Computer Science with minor in Computer Linguistics as well as a Honour\'s degree in Technology Management. He is also one of the founding members and former chairman of the alumni association for Computer Science at LMU Munich. He finds joy in doing some amateur photography as well as cooking and mountain biking.
