I have enjoyed a career of recognized technical depth and responsibilities in both the defense and entertainment industries including key positions with TRW, DreamWorks SKG, Eastman Kodak, and Warner Bros. My experience encompasses growth through such positions as Senior Staff Engineer, Vice President of Technology and Chief Technology Officer.Recognized as an expert in digital imaging in the motion picture community, I have been acknowledged by production members including cinematographers, directors and editors as having a unique combination of foremost digital expertise coupled with a deep understanding of analog film, camera and optical technology.I have had many years of experience in technical leadership of large, international projects involving complex systems, software and hardware development, integration and operations. In addition, I have significant experience in software development and algorithm design and implementation with particular expertise in image processing as well as mathematical/systems engineering.    Group 47 was formed for the primary purpose of making available the technology and patents that form the basis of a Digital Storage technology (DOTS) that is archivally stable for no less than 100 years. Responsible for the systems design of the DOTS recorder/reader and for negotiating with engineering partners for the fabrication and integration of the componentry. Authored 9 patent applications related to the design and use of the DOTS system.
