   Worked on OptumRx Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) platform, developing and supporting a real-time Eligibility Verification microservice used in prescription claim adjudication. Designed and implemented Spring Boot 3.x microservices using Java 21 to validate member eligibility by carrier, account, group, plan, and date-of-service for ICE (Integrated Claims Environment) claims. Modernized legacy IBM AS400/DB2 eligibility logic into scalable REST APIs, integrating with mainframe programs and eligibility databases (MEL, GEL, Carrier Extension) via JT400. Built robust member lookup workflows supporting multiple search criteria (member ID, SSN, cardholder number, DOB) and implemented complex business rules, override logic, and reject code handling required for downstream claim processing. Containerized services using Docker and deployed to Kubernetes on Azure on-prem infrastructure with CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps. Ensured high reliability and performance through optimized database access, HikariCP connection pooling, comprehensive unit and API testing (JUnit, Mockito, Postman), and continuous monitoring using Kubernetes tooling and SonarQube.
