About Dorna Abdolazimi
I am a soon-to-be PhD graduate from CSE at University of Washington with a strong foundation in algorithms and machine learning. Experienced in Python and key libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Scikit-learn, I have leveraged these tools to develop, train, and fine-tune ML models for applications like embedding-based semantic search, sentiment analysis, multi-touch attribution, and time series forecasting. My PhD research focused on designing efficient stochastic algorithms for solving complex problems, including rapid Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) algorithms for sampling from high dimensional distributions. I have led and contributed to multiple research projects in both independent and collaborative settings, and published multiple papers in top theoretical computer science conferences, such as FOCS, and RANDOM. During my undergraduate study, I double majored in mathematics and computer engineering from Sharif University of Technology. I am eager to join a team that values innovation and diversity, and where I can apply my expertise, learn from others, and expand my skills. Feel free to connect via LinkedIn or contact me directly at d••••••••@gmail.com. Technical Skills-Programming Languages and Tools: Python (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, scikit-learn, XGBoost, pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn), SQL, R, Java, Git, AWS Services/Cloud Services (S3, Glue, Athena, Bedrock, SageMaker), LangChain, Apache Spark -Hard Skills: Data Structures, Design and Analysis of Algorithms, Statistics, Statistical Tests, Exploratory Data Analysis, Data Processing, Data Visualization, Feature Engineering, Machine Learning Algorithms (Logistic Regression, GLMs, SVM, K-Means Clustering, Gradient Boosted Decision Trees), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Deep Learning (CNNs, RNNs, GNNs, Transformers), Large Language Models (Prompt Engineering, Fine-tuning, RAG), Search and Ranking, Recommendation Systems
