About Zoey Goore
I am a physician leader for our Women\'s and Children\'s Center, Pediatric Surgery, Pediatric Subspecialties, NICU, Inpatient Pediatrics and PICU. My leadership role also includes diversity, equity and inclusion, population health management, Education along the continuum (UME-GME-CME), and Workforce Planning and Development. I lead our COVID Vaccination program for the Sacramento Area. Clinically, I hold a board certification in both General Pediatrics and Pediatric Hospitalist Medicine. I have more than 12 years of experience in Medical Education and expertise in adult learning theory. I love to learn and to help others achieve success. I am passionate around learning, teaching, and delivering safer and higher quality care with a better experience for our patients. Interested in integrating clinical outcomes with medical education, and technology. Interested in systems approaches and team delivery of care. Medicine is a team sport and our patients are our captains. I am an active Pediatric advocate. I find a lot of joy working with the American Academy of Pediatrics to support my fellow pediatricians and the children/family we serve. I want to help Pediatricians become more active in their communities to address the 80% of health care that happens outside of our offices, clinics, and hospitals. I am very interested in upstream solutions to population health and patient care. I would love to see our health care community function to support continuous health care vs episodic sick care.I love to think outside the box to create patient centered solutions that preserve the ideals of the physicians who care for them.
