Pension scheme Trustees are required under the Pensions Act 2004 to have knowledge and understanding of the law relating to pensions and trusts and the principles relating to the funding of occupational schemes and the investment of scheme assets. They are responsible for ensuring that the pension scheme is run properly and that members benefits are secure (Pensions Regulator).As a Director Trustee of SUEZ UK\'s six final salary pension schemes, I am responsible with the Trustee Committee for £106m of scheme assets.

Chartered Fellow of the CIPD, Doctor of Social Science (DSocSci) and Master of Laws (LLM). With a career which commenced in leisure, retail and media, my professional HR experience spans 20+ years and encompasses roles through to Executive HR Director in organisations of up to UK employees within global, national, regional and multi-site businesses. Following a track record of success within the public sector, my career path returned to the private sector in a director level HR role with the global FTSE30 organisation, Compass Group Plc, before moving into Business and HR consultancy for 3 years with the world\'s largest professional services organisation, PwC. Today, I reside as Chief Business Services Officer (CBO) on the Board of SUEZ Recycling and Recovery UK Ltd, part of the global French multinational corporation, SUEZ Group, where my portfolio covers Business Transformation, IT, Project Management, Health & Safety, HR and Facilities. As a Board Executive and expert consultant, my business contribution extends into the development and implementation of organisation operating models and strategy, financial sustainability, transformational leadership, business development, service redesign, and organisational development. Areas of HR, Transformation and Project Management expertise include: Large scale transformational change, organisation design and restructuring, HR strategy, talent management, employee engagement, crisis management, mergers and acquisitions as well as HR transformation and service delivery.At a national level, I have provided HR expertise into business continuity and national resilience plans, for example, pandemic preparedness from 2009 onwards and for the Olympic and Paralympic Games of 2012 as a member of the National Ambulance Olympic & Paralympic Planning Assurance Programme Board. With a passion for health and wellbeing at a personal, organisational and national level, I have also contributed to the Public Health agenda related to Health at Work as an active member of the Public Health Responsibility Deal Network Plenary Group chaired by Dame Carol Black.
