ABOUT TANIA CLARKE
I am an inclusive and ambitious leader who has dedicated my career to driving change for individuals experiencing disadvantage. My career has spanned charity, not-for-profit, commercial, and education settings with roles at the Youth Endowment Fund, Unicef, Cambridge University Press & Assessment, Centre 33, Blue Smile, and various Ministries of Education, including Malaysia and Singapore. I\'ve spearheaded multi-stakeholder projects to improve education, social, and health outcomes for young people with caring responsibilities, refugees, SEND, low SES and those from ethnic minority groups.I hold a PhD in Psychology and Education from Cambridge University. As a former HE lecturer I also obtained my Fellowship from the Higher Education Academy. My academic expertise and professional experience is in education and child development. Notably, I\'ve taught and lectured first-generation students aspiring to attend Oxbridge via The Sutton Trust, collaborated on \'The Learning Passport\' with Unicef and Microsoft, and managed nationwide curriculum reform for the Malaysian Ministry of Education.As a qualified coach, I\'m skilled at managing diverse teams and fostering strong relationships. I\'ve led international projects, conducted mixed multi-method research, and published findings in peer-reviewed journals. Passionate about using evidence to inform policy and practice, I\'ve contributed insights to platforms like Forbes and EdSurge and spoken on international news outlets like NPR. My journey is fuelled by a commitment to social justice and equity, driving impactful change at every opportunity.Currently, as Head of Insight Application & Strategy at Cambridge University Press and Assessment, I lead a team of 10 to ensure the highest quality learning and assessment products for teachers and learners of English as a Second Language around the world.
