Currently working as Techno-commercial Program Manager for Medical Devices for Portescap. Previously held various roles in Portescap- New Product Development Manager, Customer-Engineering Interface, Electro-magnetic subject matter expert for strategic product development and Innovation. In my current role I engage with the customer for their product development cycle. It requires me to work with the commercial functions to develop a long-term business strategy, product road map, customer and market mapping. I also work with the engineering, sourcing and other cross-functions to develop highly customized products for key customer and strategic innovations. I am responsible for managing the customer in NA medical market to support through their product development cycle, enabling technical support and program management. Previously, I have worked in R&D-extensive roles at different career stages, including the time in Portescap India as Engineering manager responsible for electromagnetic design, product innovation and customer focused value engineering. Prior to Portescap, I have been involved in the research and development of large electromagnetic devices such as superconducting magnets, superconducting fault current limiter, energy dump, and motors, including induction, brushed DC, BLDC & Piezoelectric. I have led a few critical engineering projects and functions at various stages. Have involved in the design of various sized rotating machines ranging from less than a Watt to 400 kW.As a part of my PhD and early career, I have worked with the only superconducting fusion reactor in India. I have designed the electromagnetic system for the first indigenous Gyrotron. I was part of the team for refurbishment and assembly of the Tokamak in India. Hold a good knowledge and understanding of mechanical, thermal, vacuum & cryogenics system, and multi-domain Physics. Good knowledge of CAD, finite-element, and programming. Have been recognized as a fast learner and change manager. Have led New Product Development initiatives. Good Knowledge of Toyota Business System: APD systems with enforced Visual Management (VM), Daily Management (DM) processes, and Kaizens. Have engaged with customers for taking Voice of Customers (VoC) and engineering CFT to convert VoC to VoD. Worked on framing organization strategic and technology road maps. Have worked as an innovator and driven new design and technology from dream to conceptualization to production, transforming research hypotheses into tangible and marketable products. Knowledge of DFM, DFMEA, PFMEA, GD & T, etc.
