I lead sustainability initiatives across the UK seafood supply chain. I spearheaded the development of the seafood carbon emissions profiling tool to support the sector’s transition to Net Zero and co-managed the UK supply chain mapping project on end-of-life fishing / aquaculture gear to inform evidence-based policy.I provide strategic insights to a range of national / UK committees / groups, with a focus on driving sustainability in the UK seafood and wider food sectors.I also led the development of Seafish’s corporate sustainability strategy and obligated reporting responsibilities. As an active member of Defra’s Sustainability Leadership Group, I contributed to the development of its Sustainability Strategy and continue to support its implementation.
