About Simonè Dumas
I’m a transformational educational leader, and advocate for equitable learning environments. Over the past decade, I’ve led high-impact initiatives that improved student outcomes, built thriving school cultures, and empowered educators to lead with purpose and data. Currently serving as a High School Dean and Civic Voices Fellow, I blend research, practice, and policy to help schools rise to the challenge of providing excellent, inclusive education for all scholars. My leadership helped my campus earn an “B” TEA rating, while my work with teachers has transformed instructional practices through data-driven coaching, restorative practices, and intentional PLCs. With a Ph.D. focused on the impostor phenomenon among African American women in leadership, I’m deeply committed to dismantling systemic barriers and developing leaders at every level. Whether I’m coordinating the IB Diploma Programme, designing leadership standards, or supporting district-wide testing strategy, I lead with clarity, community, and courage.
