ABOUT RON SHELTON

As a board-certified dermatologic surgeon, my goal is to provide patients with the best care, best treatment guidance and provide the most natural-looking results with the least invasive treatments. In addition to practicing at Laser & Skin Surgery Center of New York, one of the most internationally-respected laser research centers for cosmetic dermatology and dermatologic surgery, I volunteer my time teaching and mentoring several international fellows in the Department of Dermatologic Surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City – a department I helped create and had the opportunity to serve as their first director in 1993. After leaving the full time academic position in Mount Sinai Medical Center in 1998, I entered private practice and was the director of The New York Aesthetic Center, which was one of the very first MediSpas in NYC, having aestheticians, plastic and dermatologic surgeons under one roof, in a square foot facility on the Upper Eastside of Manhattan NYC. I joined the Laser and Skin Surgery Center of New York, July 1 2014, to become a part of the largest cosmetic laser dermatologic surgical practice in NYC and one of the foremost and renowned laser centers in the world. I’ve enjoyed delivering many professional presentations at national society meetings, writing two books, Liposuction and Botox, several peer-reviewed medical journal articles, and am a contributing writer for RealSelf.com, a website related to cosmetic services and a platform to ask credible doctors questions.
