   My wife, Dr. Deb Brock, and I have more than 90 years of combined clinical experience in the fields of psychology and psychotherapy. Our approach is to understand \"what is right\" about people before understanding what might be wrong, and long before instituting any kind of treatment. This involves an extensive assessment, comprised of a clinical and social history session as well as in-depth psychological testing. Once we formulate an in-depth understanding of the individual (or couple), we proceed with the appropriate form of treatment. This “friendly diagnosis” approach is a hallmark of our work. Our belief is that the difficulties an individual has in life are an \"interface\" between him/herself and the world, and a full utilization of one\'s strengths. Impediments to success in life and relationships has largely to do with this interface, which can also be hampered by trauma and loss. My primary focus is psychotherapy for men, but I also work with children and couples.Deb and I are available for public education and speaking events related to personal growth, self-awareness and/or self-improvement.
