West Sussex, GB

My main area of interest lies in how people in organisations learn and the impact this has for them, their teams and the wider organisation. I am the course leader for the MBA programmes. A key feature is to enable participants to put their everyday experience of leading, managing and bringing about change to the centre of their enquiry. Depening n the programme they use a blend of face-to-face, action learning, coaching and digital learning to explore ideas, concepts and theories as well as insights from experts in the field. I undertake research and supervise PhD students in the field of management and organisational learning. Undergraduate teaching includes business strategy, corporate responsibility and ethics.I lead the Business School\'s Continuing Professional Development (CPD) provision, particularly in management, leadership and organisation development.

ABOUT ROB WARWICK

I work with leaders, teams and organisations who know that change isn’t a technical problem to be solved, but a human, relational practice to be lived into.As Professor of Management and Organisational Learning at the University of Chichester, I’ve spent the last decade designing and leading practice‑based programmes that deliberately blur the boundary between learning and working. Most notably, I developed the Chichester Practice‑Based MBA: an approach that keeps people grounded in the realities of their organisations while drawing on the best of organisational development, action learning and complexity thinking. In 2023, this work was recognised through the University’s Vice‑Chancellor’s Teaching Excellence Award — an acknowledgement of learning that is demanding, reflective and transformative. As Adjunct Faculty at Hult Ashridge Executive Education, I support doctoral and senior leaders working with complexity, organisational change and leadership practice. Ashridge is an important home for my work because it takes practice seriously — not as a case study to be analysed, but as something unfolding in real time, with real consequences. Earlier in my career, I held change roles within the NHS, including leading national change programmes characterised by high ambiguity, intense stakeholder scrutiny and ethical responsibility. That experience still shapes how I work: I’m less interested in importing models, and more interested in helping people notice what is already happening — and choose how they respond. At heart, my work is about helping organisations develop the capacity to stay human while doing serious work in complex conditions. Alongside my academic role, I continue to work in executive and organisational development.
