As the Head of the Department of Forensic Science at a NAAC-accredited university, I lead the department toward academic and research excellence while aligning with institutional goals. My role involves curriculum innovation, fostering interdisciplinary learning, accreditation & rankings, Quality Assurance & regulatory compliance, and mentoring faculty and students to excel in forensic science.Key contributions include:•Academic Leadership: Designing forward-thinking curricula, recruiting and mentoring faculty, and enhancing student success through career-oriented programs, internships, and personalized guidance.•Research and Development: Promoting a culture of innovation, securing funded projects, establishing partnerships with national and international institutions, and developing advanced forensic science laboratories. I actively guide impactful research, including supervising Master\'s and doctoral theses.•Outreach and Collaboration: Organizing training programs, workshops, and conferences for law enforcement and judicial professionals. Strengthening the department’s consultancy services and collaborating with foreign universities for academic exchanges.•Administrative Excellence: Managing resources effectively, formulating policies for academic programs, and driving strategic planning for departmental growth.•Promoting cutting-edge research and securing collaborations with national and international institutions, industries, and government agencies. •Organizing training programs, workshops, and seminars for law enforcement and judicial officers to bridge the gap between academics and field applications.Facilitating funded research projects, publications, and skill-development initiatives to enhance the department\'s visibility and impact. This position allows me to shape the future of forensic science education by empowering students and faculty to achieve excellence and contribute meaningfully to society.
