About Vincent H. Patone

Dr. Patone is a Board Certified Radiation Oncologist who has practiced in South Florida since 2009. He finished an 8 year medical directorship at North Shore Cancer Center, and has transitioned to a new center in downtown Miami, with the latest technology and equipment in radiation therapy, including Stereotactic Radiosurgery and HDR Brachytherapy.Dr. Patone graduated in from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science degree with first class Honors in Physiology. In 2003, he received his Medical degree from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He then did his residency training in Radiation Oncology at McGill University where he served as chief resident, graduating in 2008. He completed a fellowship in brachytherapy at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York in 2009 under the leadership of Dr. Louis B. Harrison, the president of the American Society of Radiation Oncology. He is one of only a few physicians with both Canadian and American board certifications in Radiation Oncology. Dr. Patone is a specialist in Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS), Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT), 3D-Conformal Radiation Therapy, Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT), MammoSite breast radiation therapy, prostate seed implants, and prostate HDR brachytherapy. He is experienced in the use of all available imaging modalities including CT, MRI, and PET-CT as part of a patient’s treatment planning process. He is a firm believer in a multidisciplinary approach to the treatment of cancer. He is an active member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO), the American College of Radiation Oncology (ACRO), and the Florida Medical Association (FMA). Recent awards include Best Bed Side Manner, Most Responsive Physician, Patient\'s Choice Award, Compassionate Doctor Award and Best Team Player. He is also a believer in integrating alternative therapies, treating the body and spirit.
