I am a travel forecasting and GIS specialist at the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) in Washington, D.C. I am also the Geospatial Information Officer (GIO) at FTA. I have worked in FTA’s Office of Planning and Environment for the last eighteen years. Before joining FTA, I worked for a consulting firm in the Boston area for more than thirteen years, specializing in urban and regional transportation planning, travel demand modeling and forecasting, congestion management and mitigation, and air quality analysis.I have managed numerous transportation planning, traffic engineering, and policy studies across the country. I developed or updated transportation models and plans in more than ten states, utilizing Voyager/TP+, TransCAD, EMME/2, and TRANPLAN packages.I hold a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with a major in Transportation from Utah State University. I am a registered professional engineer (P.E.) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
