ABOUT NAGINA GROVER PARMAR M.
Welcome to my LinkedIn profile!I bring more than 20 years of extensive experience in academia and healthcare as a seasoned educator and clinical researcher. I earned my Ph.D. in Microbiology and completed postdoctoral training at the University of Guelph and the University of Toronto. Most recently, I achieved a Master\'s in Education from Ontario Tech University, focusing on the internationalization of higher education in Canada.For the last two decades, I\'ve been shaping the minds of future scientists and healthcare professionals at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU). I teach a range of subjects, including Biology, Microbiology, Life Sciences for Clinical Practice, and drug development courses. I\'ve also been honored with the Dean\'s Excellence Teaching Award from TMU (Formerly Ryerson University).In addition to teaching, I serve as an Executive Member of the TMU Research Ethics Board and a member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee. I have contributed to academic journals with over 30 publications to my name. I also mentor Master\'s and Ph.D. students as Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Microbiology at CCS Haryana Agricultural University in India.I am especially focused on research concerning student immigration patterns from countries such as India, China, and Pakistan. Other interests include clinical research and the development of inclusive, culturally competent classroom environments. I also advocate for mental health and promote active and cooperative learning.
