I am a results-driven Deep Tech leader and innovation strategist with 15+ years of experience translating cutting-edge research into scalable, high-impact solutions across AI/ML, IoT, robotics, sensors, MedTech, and intelligent infrastructure.Currently, as Chief Research and Innovation Officer at Pump Academy Private Limited, I am spearheading the iPUMPNET platform — a cloud-integrated AI engine for predictive maintenance, analytics, and energy-efficient smart water infrastructure and industrial pumping systems towards industry x.0. This initiative is enhancing operational uptime and sustainability for municipal and industrial clients while advancing India’s Smart Cities Mission and Jal Shakti Abhiyan.Previously, as Professor & Associate Dean – Research and Innovation at MS Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, I built the university’s IP portfolio, grants pipeline, industry-academia collaborations (MoUs with Mount Sinai, UIUC, SUNY Albany, NTHU Taiwan, etc.), and consultancy practice. As Project Director of the Techno Centre Engineering (TCE), I forged strategic partnerships with DRDO, ISRO, PSUs, and MSMEs to accelerate deep-tech deployment.My industry experience includes multiple CTO and Head of Technology roles in humanoid robotics (Eagle Robot Lab), AI-powered MedTech platforms for cardiovascular & respiratory diagnostics, quantum computing, and SaaS digital health solutions. I also led business development and high-value sales for Carl Zeiss India across R&D, pharma, semiconductor, and FMCG sectors.I hold a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from IISc Bangalore (where I developed and patented metal-oxide nanoneedle arrays), completed postdoctoral research at UCSF (USA), and have completed an Executive MBA from IIM Kozhikode.
