ABOUT MILAD FARKHONDEH FAL

I am a DVSE-certified shoulder and elbow surgeon with a deep passion for restoring joint function and performance, from everyday mobility to elite athletic recovery. My surgical focus lies in advanced arthroscopic and reconstructive procedures, including shoulder and elbow joint replacement, tendon repair, and complex revision surgery. After serving as Head of Shoulder Surgery at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE), I am now the Lead Shoulder and Elbow Specialist at Schön Klinik Eilbek and partly self-employed in private practice in Hamburg. My work combines high-volume surgical experience with an academic foundation rooted in clinical research, precision, and patient-centered care. I have received several scientific awards, including the DVSE Elbow Science Award, completed an international upper-extremity fellowship, and serve as an AGA Faculty Member, teaching and lecturing at national and international congresses. My research and presentations focus on evidence-based innovations in shoulder and elbow surgery, complex reconstruction, and functional outcomes in sports medicine. Beyond the operating room, I bring a competitive mindset from my background as a former professional rugby player and national team captain. I now apply that same discipline and teamwork as the Chief Medical Officer of the Hamburg Rugby Club, supporting athlete care and performance medicine. Driven by excellence, precision, and continuous learning, I strive to combine scientific rigor with individualized patient treatment, always aiming for the best possible functional recovery.
