After earning a Ph.D. at Penn State University and several specializations in other institutions, she moved to Europe two years ago. Maria Chiara\'s areas of specializations include, but are not limited to, personal growth, motivational training, and the evolution of the self; interpersonal relationships and couples counseling. She is also an expert in dealing with everything related to identity discovery and affirmation, intersensory origin of self and other body perceptions; Eros and sexuality; non-monogamy and non-dyadic partnerships; BDSM; Queer studies. Dr. Nardone is passionate about helping individuals, couples, groups, families, and communities to improve their mental health and to identify goals and potential solutions to circumstances that cause emotional turmoil. She is also focused on improving communication and coping skills, developing an adequate self-esteem, promoting behavioral change to reach optimal mental health. The work done with the clients takes a holistic approach to mental health care, focusing on both mind and body experience. It aims to encourage people to discuss their emotions and circumstances, examine their personal issues, gain insights, make an action plan to achieve goals and meaningful changes, and develop a process meant to achieve the desired level of wellness.
