Don is co-author of two highly acclaimed books on families and parenting, both winners of the Eric Hoffer Award. Who’s the Boss? The Win-Win Way to Parent Your Defiant, Strong-Willed Child (http://Strong-WilledChild.com) provides a concise and effective way to turn things around with strong-willed kids, helping parents create an even closer relationship with their child and set limits in a way that helps the whole family. The program is the result of over thirty-five years of study, teaching and clinical practice. The goal is simple—namely, to help kids feel good about themselves and have love and respect for others. Children who have too much power over their parents are at risk for a host of problems.Dr. Mac also wrote How’s Your Family Really Doing? 10 Keys to a Happy Loving Family (http://HowsYourFamily.com highlights 10 essential keys that define successful families.) Weaving together contributions from a variety of disciplines, it also draws from new brain research. After completing a 50-point self-evaluation, parents are provided with hands-on tools for areas needing attention, including ways to identify and overcome patterns learned from their own childhood and how they were parented. How’s Your Family. also won the Book of the Year Award from Foreword Reviews.
