WORK HISTORY
Head of Ageism Campaign @Centre for Ageing Better
I co-lead England’s first national programme, and one of few globally, to use behaviour change communications to tackle ageism, creating a social movement that shifts how people think, feel and act about ageing. The campaign blends behaviour change modelling, mass-reach media, continuous PR and influencing, research and evaluation, and grassroots community and workplace initiatives to reframe the national conversation and deliver lasting change. As part of a job share with excellent colleagues, I manage a £3M+ budget and head up strategy, development, and the management of multidisciplinary teams across creative, media, research, and internal stakeholders, ensuring measurable and sustained social impact.

ABOUT LIZZ LEWIS
I believe that healing doesn’t just happen one to one, it also happens in the systems and stories that shape our lives. My work bridges both worlds: I help individuals change their minds and society to change for the better.Senior leader in behaviour and social change with nearly two decades experience integrating creativity and psychology to shift both individual lives and the systems that shape them. Currently operating across two complementary roles: co-leading the Age Without Limits anti-ageism campaign at the Centre for Ageing Better, overseeing a £3m programme encompassing mass media, sectoral and policy influencing, research, evaluation and grassroots action; and practising as an HCPC-registered Psychologist, delivering psychologically informed assessment and intervention for high-achieving adults, with expertise in trauma, burnout, neurodivergence and life transitions. For individuals: I work in a deeply relational way with those navigating life changes, trauma, anxiety, neurodivergence, relationship or identity challenges. Many of my clients are busy professionals, entrepreneurs or see themselves as “wildcards” living less linear lives, but my therapy is open to any woman ready to understand herself, untangle overwhelm and reconnect with her strengths. My focus is on trauma and the mind body connection and my clinical interests include matrescence, baby loss, neurodiverse experiences, creativity and emerging research in psychedelic psychotherapy. For organisations: I design and lead behaviour and social change campaigns that shift how people think, feel and act. Addressing issues affected by stigma and discrimination, my work delivers measurable impact and social return on investment. A trusted leader with advanced management skills, I rally teams and bring cross-sector experience spanning Learning & Development, Organisational Development, Commercial Marketing, Mental Health, Legal Technology, Charity and Government.A note on my name: I’m known as Lizz Lewis (since 2017), but I’ve kept the name Brocklesby here on LinkedIn. It helps me stay connected with all the brilliant people I’ve met over my nearly 20-year career and I like the name and sometimes miss it!
