About Lisa Jackson

After teaching for almost 30 years, I’m still endlessly in love with the infinite possibilities of words on paper. I\'ve taught virtually every genre of literature and more than 150 college writing courses, including composition, expository writing, technical writing, and professional editing. My academic specialty is 19th-century British literature with a focus on Charles Dickens. I’ve been published in Dickens Studies Annual, and I was a contributor to the Oxford New Dictionary of National Biography. I served as the Director of the UNT Writing Lab for three years, guiding thousands of students, from freshmen to doctoral candidates and from every academic discipline, to improve their writing.
