About Kore Brown

I am a doctoral level therapist who is committed to empowering individuals, couples, and families through transformative healing. I specialize in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), offering a trauma-informed, holistic approach that focuses on finding and healing the root cause of mental health symptoms. I integrate mindfulness and somatic awareness into my practice, drawing from my decade of experience as a registered yoga teacher (E-RYT 200). I strive to create an affirming therapeutic space where all identities and relationships are respected and celebrated.I am deeply passionate about the connection between our minds, bodies, and relationships. This interest led me to conduct research on EFT with couples in which one partner has cancer, and I have had the privilege of presenting my research on this topic internationally. Prior to my career in mental health, I worked as a corporate communications advisor providing strategic counsel to companies in crisis situations such as bankruptcies, sudden management changes, mergers and acquisitions, and litigation. I now bring this crisis management expertise to my therapeutic work, helping clients navigate transitions, conflicts, trauma, and periods of uncertainty and distress. As a relationship consultant, I partner with clients to shift unhelpful patterns and promote lasting change. My work primarily focuses on helping couples deepen their bond, heal from betrayals, improve communication, get unstuck from repetitive cycles of conflict, enhance their intimacy, and navigate relational shifts. I also work with individual adults and teens who experience anxiety, PTSD, depression, bipolar disorder, relational problems, or otherwise feel lost and find themselves stuck in patterns of behavior from which they want to break free. I have also worked with executive teams seeking to enhance communication, build trust, and work through blocks that hold them back from executing on their company\'s vision.
