I am a dedicated educational leader with over 24 years of experience across roles in both public and private sectors. Currently, I serve as the Executive Director of Choice Schools and Programs for Guilford County Schools, where I oversee the district\'s 60+ magnet and choice programs, ensuring innovative, equitable educational opportunities for all students. My journey in education began as a special education teacher and grew through roles as a principal and district leader, always focused on fostering environments that inspire student success.As the Founder and CEO of Vantage Strategy Group, my mission is to help companies align their products and services with the real needs of today’s classrooms. By combining my background in Psychology, Special Education, and Educational Leadership with practical, in-field insights, I guide companies in developing solutions that are both innovative and truly impactful.    Support the strategic direction of the school district through the development/design, planning, implementation, instruction, and evaluation, and of the district\'s Choice Schools and Programs’ portfolio.+ Provide expertise related to future forward school construction and design+ Support the revisioning and redesign of instructional models/programs to enhance the academic experience for students while considering the needs of the community and business/industry trends.+ Collaborate with the district’s communications department in the branding, marketing, and public relations efforts associated with promoting the various non-traditional programs offered+ Cultivate and maintain business and post-secondary partnerships that add value to non-traditional programs and student experiences (e.g, student mentorship/internships/work-based learning, etc.)+ Ensure the alignment and integration of theme/program specific standards with the NC Standard Course of Study to better support school administrators, instructional leadership teams, and teachers to enhance the overall student experience.+ Maintain appropriate records and databases and ensures that staff training and other requirements of various certifying agencies such as Montessori, AP Academy, International Baccalaureate, etc, are met on an annual basis.
