About Khaled Abdou

As an associate professor of financial services at Penn State University - Berks, I have over 19 years of experience in research and teaching finance and accounting topics, such as investment valuation, portfolio management, corporate finance, financial analysis, auditing, and more. I also advise students about their careers and provide service to the university and community.In addition to my academic role, I am a finance executive coach and a financial consultant at Finanedu Consulting, which I founded in 2015. I coach non-finance executives to get comfortable with finance and accounting topics and provide management consulting services such as private company valuations in the case of a takeover. I have a PhD and an MS in financial economics from the University of New Orleans, an MBA from Eastern Illinois University, and I hold the CPA and CFA credentials. I also have a certificate in blockchain fundamentals for accounting and finance professionals from AICPA & CIMA. I am passionate about applying my analytical skills and data analysis expertise to solve real-world problems and create value for my clients and students.Moreover, I have extensive experience in investment and portfolio management especially ESG Sharia Compliant Investments as a former president and CIO at Alnoor Asset Management. And, I have gained experience as an auditor at Deloitte which honed my attention to details and analytical skills.
