About Keith Kocis
As a pediatric cardiac intensivist with over twenty five years’ experience, I am able to treat and cure infants and children with critical heart disease by working with teams of physicians, nurses, therapists, laboratory technicians, hospital administrators and others in preparing for: the individual care of a child; the management of numerous children in a highly utilized and limited pediatric intensive care unit; and creating local, statewide, regional, national and international programs for children with congenital and/or acquired heart disease. I have successfully performed these duties in several Hospitals and Universities in the USA, resource constrained Uganda, and in Qatar. Patient safety and quality initiatives that are both innovative and preventive are the foundation of my ICU leadership focus combined with my personal dedication and commitment to excellence with a strong sense of accountability. My research and entrepreneurial efforts over the past 2 decades has focused on streaming real time “Big Data” and creating advanced predictive analytics in order to identify rare, and yet, fatal events. Lastly, I previously served the Food and Drug Administration’s Pediatric Advisory Committee as a SGE where I provide insight and expertise into the regulation of drugs and devices used in children.
