ABOUT JAMIL AHMAD
Dr. Ahmad is the Director of Research and Education at the Plastic Surgery Clinic. Dr. Ahmad is an assistant professor at the University of Toronto Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is actively involved in teaching plastic surgery residents and fellows and is the Director of the University of Toronto-Resident Aesthetic Surgery Clinic. He is the former Course Director of the Annual University of Toronto Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Symposium. In addition, he serves as faculty at the Annual Dallas Cosmetic Surgery and Rhinoplasty Symposia. Dr. Ahmad is Vice President on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the Aesthetic Society (ASAPS), the largest professional society for board certified plastic surgeons specializing in aesthetic plastic surgery. He was the Education Commissioner and, also, served as the Chair of the Aesthetic Meeting Program Committee. Additionally, he was Co-Chair of Premier Global Hot Topics. Dr. Ahmad was an ASAPS Travelling Professor. Dr. Ahmad is on the Board of Directors of the Aesthetic Foundation (ASERF). He was the My Way section editor for Aesthetic Surgery Journal (ASJ), the official journal of the Aesthetic Society, and is now the Body Contouring section editor. He is President of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (CSAPS). Additionally, he is President of the Board of Directors of the Rhinoplasty Society. Dr. Ahmad is the Past-Chair of the Ontario Medical Association Section on Plastic Surgery. He is on the Board of Directors of SecondStreet.orgDr. Ahmad has authored more than 180 articles and chapters in plastic surgery. He has published significant work on rhinoplasty, facial rejuvenation, breast augmentation, breast reduction, abdominoplasty, liposuction, labiaplasty, and patient safety during plastic surgery. He co-authored Dallas Rhinoplasty: Nasal Surgery by the Masters, 3rd and 4th Editions, Secondary Rhinoplasty: By the Global Masters, and the Dallas Rhinoplasty and Dallas Cosmetic Surgery Dissection Guide.
