ABOUT JAD JABER

Jad Jaber, PhD, is the founder of Marginalized Majority, a Non-Profit organization based in Toronto Canada focused on the emotional and social health of marginalized LGBTQ+ folks and highlighting the cultural experiences of Queer Immigrants and POC’s. The Marginalized Majority now has more than 5,500 participants and has lead more than 75 workshops and 80 drop-in spaces consistently since the COVID-19 pandemic began. It is also now training some of the biggest equity focused organizations in its grassroots community-building best practices and its community-responsive policies focused on protecting the safety of queer digital spaces. Jad is also a social-inclusion and gender expert whose work focused on some of the most vulnerable communities in the world by collaborating with government institutions (CDR, MOSA), international funding agencies (DFID- World Bank), and local implementing NGO’s and CSO’s (Save the Children, Palladium). He has also lectured at the University of Toronto, The Lebanese American University amongst other prestigious academic institutions in controversial and complex subjects such as “Gender and Migration” and “Queer Theory”. Jad Jaber has published the book, “Queer Arab Martyr” through Atropos Press and his peer reviewed publication “Queer Arab Language” through the Lebanese American University.
