   As the Founder of the Bauer Research Foundation (BRF), I am dedicated to advancing One Health through translational, comparative medicine. Our mission is to strengthen the human–animal bond by developing equitable, species-specific therapies that improve health and quality of life for both companion animals and their human guardians.BRF oversees and operates compassionate, patient-first navigation and advocacy program designed to bring clarity, care coordination, education, and support to individuals and families facing chronic conditions including cancer. Our navigators help reduce barriers, organize complex care journeys, and ensure patients feel informed and supported every step of the way, including Medicare-aligned Principal Illness Navigation services for eligible beneficiaries. Beyond oncology, BRF advances a practical One Health strategy that pairs medical innovation with real-world, evidence-informed education. Through our public science platform, The Biochemist Knows Best™, we translate complex biochemistry and clinical evidence into clear, actionable insights that support better decision-making for patients, caregivers, and the broader community—covering scientific literacy, healthcare policy, patient navigation, and responsible nutraceutical/supplement use.
