ABOUT DRISHTI T.
As a Probation Officer at HM Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) since September 2022, I support and rehabilitate people on probation, helping them to reintegrate into society and reduce reoffending. I conduct thorough assessments, develop and implement case plans, and provide counselling and guidance for probationers, addressing issues such as substance abuse, mental health, employment, and education. I collaborate with mental health professionals, social workers, and other service providers to offer comprehensive support for probationers.I am also a student of Community and Criminal Justice at De Montfort University, expected to graduate in December 2024. I have a background in biotechnology and law, having completed an MSc in Biotechnology from Coventry University and a Graduate Diploma in Law from the University of the West of England. I speak three languages: English, Hindi, and Punjabi. I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, and I value communication, organisation, and teamwork. I am motivated by the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of people on probation and the communities they belong to. I am always eager to learn and grow as a Probation Officer.
