ABOUT ISHMEET SINGH
Currently practicing as a Senior Physiotherapist in the NHS, United Kingdom, providing intermediate care to the geriatric population of Cambridgeshire & Peterborough counties of England.With a strong foundation in Neuro-rehabilitation, I\'ve been trained at renowned national institutions of India.My clinical experience spans diverse settings, including government hospitals, community-based rehabilitation and leading health & care research institutions. I\'ve had the privilege of working with the great spine surgeon and academician- Dr. HS Chhabra and have worked with engineers to develop a VR based rehabilitation system for individuals with stroke as part of SparshMind Innovations- a startup which took birth from School of Biodesign, AIIMS Delhi.As an advocate for accessibility, I\'m committed to creating a more inclusive world for people with disabilities. I founded Rehabilitation Essentials to address the gap in quality rehabilitation equipment in India and make quality home-based care accessible to all.My research work in computer based exergaming for individuals with spinal cord injuries has been recognized internationally.Along with my practice in the NHS, I am pursuing a NIHR UK funded Master\'s in Research (MRes- Health Research) degree from the University of Essex to increase my research capacity and promote research culture within AHPs across my unit and CPFT
