In search of the American Dream, I graduated from the University of Manitoba as a Geological Engineer and headed to the oilfields of Oklahoma’s panhandle. That was nearly 30 years ago - and I’ve been solving complex problems ever since!Early exposure to industry-leading technology fueled my passion for enabling innovation and transformation through disruptive thinking. Whether supporting wireless e911 deployments post-9/11, launching the first business-class VoIP offering, modernizing utility infrastructure from analog to smart endpoints, or uncovering predictive insights from petabytes of data—I focus on the intersection of strategy, technology, and business value.Along the way, I’ve pursued advanced education to complement real-world experience. I hold an MBA with honors from Drexel University and am a lifetime honoree of the Beta Gamma Sigma and Phi Kappa Phi honor societies. I earned a Certificate in Corporate Leadership and Strategy from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Higher Education Teaching Certificate through Harvard University’s Derek Bok Center for Teaching and Learning. I earned my Doctor of Business Administration from Florida International University, where I focused on merging academic research with real-world practitioner insight. I also hold the Certified Bitcoin Professional (CBP) designation from the CryptoCurrency Certification Consortium (C4) and a Certificate in Blockchain & Cryptocurrency Applications from FIU.Today, I serve as the Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder of Smart Grid Ventures, LLC—a consulting and analytics firm helping utilities and entrepreneurs solve what others won’t touch, from grid to growth. I also teach entrepreneurship at Florida Gulf Coast University, where I equip students with practical, data-informed skills for launching and managing ventures.I truly enjoy solving complex business problems - and have fun while doing it!
