ABOUT GLENN ROWE

Dr. W. Glenn Rowe is a respected authority on strategy and leadership, award-winning researcher, naval veteran, speaker and Professor Emeritus at Ivey Business School, Western University.As a subject matter expert on strategy, Dr. Rowe has facilitated strategy and leadership sessions for numerous organizations including Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, Canadian Investor Relations Institute, Robertson Hall CPP Broker Partner Event and London Health Sciences Centre, among others.Dr. Rowe brings to his talks and lectures a unique background and real-life leadership lessons having served in the Royal Canadian Navy for 22 years. In his final three years, he served as the Commanding Officer of Minor War Ships that were used to train junior officers in ship-handling, navigation and seamanship.At Ivey Business School, Dr. Rowe has taught strategy and strategic leadership courses in undergraduate and graduate programs. He teaches 80 to 90 case classes per year.A passionate scholar about the Case Method, Dr. Rowe has written/co-authored over 70 cases and has co-authored a textbook about cases and leadership. He has also facilitated case teaching and writing workshops in countries around the world, including the U.S, Canada, Mexico, Lebanon and Qatar. He has also held the role of Executive Director of Ivey Publishing where he oversaw Ivey’s Case Publishing house and the Ivey Business Journal. His research has been published in numerous reputable journals, including Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Management, Leadership Quarterly, Journal of World Business, Journal of Business Ethics and Journal of Management Inquiry.Dr. Rowe has a PhD in strategic management from Texas A&M University. Prior to joining Ivey, he was associate professor at the Faculty of Business Administration in Memorial University and was an invited professor at Royal Roads University. He is a Board Director with Teen Challenge Canada.Dr. Rowe has been included in Canadian Who\'s Who 2025, a handbook of the current top notable Canadians.
