ABOUT GEORGE BEILIN
I am a music composer and lyricist, a seasoned, licensed psychologist, former chief psychologist of a pain center and respected author of two books on chronic pain. I have a life mission-to help people find meaning. I provide counseling, education and coaching services via the use of telehealth. l can he reached at 97••••••13 or 50••••••94. In therapy. my focus is to empower people to utilize my \"pain management lifestyle\" model to help them reduce their pain over time. The term,\"chronic pain\" is a metaphor that consists of physical pain, pain from life stress, pain from negative emotions, a lack of happiness, pain from faulty, cognitive appraisals and/or from a lack of fortitude. I believe very strongly in the mind-body connection and the bio-psycho-social model for treating pain. I rely heavily on Prochaska and DiClemente\'s Motivation to Change stages, Marlott\'s relapse prevention model, the importance of neurplasticity and individual responsibility to choose adaptive vs. maladaptive choices to reduce pain over time. I utilize positive, psychological principles that empower patients to learn fortitude skills like coping, self-esteem, resilience, gratitude, meaningfulness, empathy, humor, happiness, love, meaningfulness and spirituality. I have written two books that are the \"gold standard\" for healthcare providers and people to reduce their chronic pain levels.\"How to Reduce Your Chronic Pain: A New Model to Help You Reatore Hope\" and \" How to. Reduce Your Patients\' Chronic Pain: A New Model to Restore Hope (Theirs and Yours).\" Books can be purchased on Amazon, Barnes and Noble or by sending a request to d••••••••@gmail.com.
