About Scott Geller

I am a molecular biologist with extensive experience in visual neuroscience, genetics, gene therapy, microscopy, histology, biochemistry, cell culture, and more. For many years I have managed a wet laboratory / entrepreneurial / tech space in Berkeley, CA, where I have assisted companies develop technologies and optimize operations until reaching meaningful inflection points, including technological proof-of-concept and capital raises. Though still operating Bay Genomics at a reduced capacity, I have transitioned back to UC Berkeley as Director of the UC Berkeley DNA Sequencing Facility. At Berkeley I am continuing to do research on inherited retinal degenerations (and more), and I am appreciating all of the opportunities to work alongside so many talented scientists while also helping researchers achieve their scientific goals via the Sequencing Facility.
