About Andrew Porter

I provide US federal and state tax consulting and compliance services to a wide variety of businesses operating in the United States and around the world. Much of my three decades in public practice has focused on matters related to corporate taxation. For three years, I served on the AICPA\'s Corporations and Shareholders Technical Resource Panel, my profession\'s group of volunteer experts in corporate taxation. I have developed a practice in serving both inbound and outbound international clients, and currently serve clients with operations in Australia, New Zealand and the Far East, the EU and the UK, Canada, Mexico and Central America. I also provide tax controversy representation for individuals and businesses with the IRS and state taxing authorities through the appeals level. My partners and I have significant tax and audit experience from the Big 4 accounting firms. Most of us left as either senior managers or partners. We have a broad range of expertise and can provide a Big 4 level of tax expertise to the small to mid-size business with complex issues, but not the level of revenue or income to need the services of one of the big firms.With my audit partners, we can also provide a full range of attest services to closely held businesses.Specialties: Consolidated income tax return regulations, computations of corporate earnings & profits, international tax, IRS representation, tax provisions for companies preparing GAAP financial statements
