ABOUT DREW OVERGAARD

I graduated from the University of the Pacific in May 2018, where I earned my bachelors of science in computer science, specifically, application development. I am currently seeking employment as a software engineer/IT professional, and I am eager to put my experience and knowledge to good use. I am determined to continue to create applications that will improve the human-computer interaction cost.Major Projects:While working as a Digital Media Intern at the University of the Pacific I had the opportunity to build an asset management script using Microsoft SharePoint, Powershell, and Excel. The script allowed the compilation of multiple excel data files into an organized and easy to read Excel workbook. Upper management at the University was able to more easily access and analyse asset data as a result. While a student at the University of the Pacific I, along with 3 other colleagues created a workout program using Java. The program allowed users to run through 7 minute workouts alongside an animation showing them how to perform each exercise. It then tracked how many workouts the user completed. While working for the Digital Media department at the University of the Pacific I was tasked with live streaming two high profile university events the Provost and Presidents meetings with faculty, staff, and students. Which was live streamed on the university website. I contacted vendors and helped to ensure Crestron equipment from the school would work with the equipment from the vendor. I also collaborated with multiple departments to ensure the live stream could be accessed.Programming languages I have experience in are;• Java• C++• C• Python• Assembly Language• HTML• PHP• Javascript• CSSOperating Systems• Linux - Programming in C• Windows - Most familiar with• Mac OSXI have experience working on object oriented projects, including: console applications written in C++ and Java, Android Application Development, and graphical applications written in C++ and Java.
