In my position as Special Representative to the President and then Director and Senior Director of Public Affairs over the last 14 years, I have represented Union Pacific in Louisiana, Arkansas and East Texas. I have established a strategic community presence by engaging and building relationships with key stakeholders and elected officials to protect the franchise and advance major projects. I routinely meet with State and local government officials on policy matters, including public testimony. I have managed lobbyists in both Louisiana and Arkansas, reviewing key legislation and appearing and lobbying for Union Pacific directly. I serve as the media spokesperson on camera and in print during crisis situations, and have been routinely interviewed during corporate and press events involving Union Pacific Railroad and their projects. I serve as the liaison between Union Pacific Railroad and the Gulf Ports in Beaumont, Lake Charles, Baton Rouge and New Orleans. Specific projects I have been involved in are-Led the elected official outreach strategy and public engagement for Union Pacific\'s $800 million crude oil infrastructure project from 20••••15 -Assisted the Union Pacific Corporate team in navigating local state and governmental issues in the Port of New Orleans\' successful acquisition of the New Orleans Public Belt-Assisted the Union Pacific Team working with our customers Drax and Louis Dreyfuss to construct over $60 million in Rail Projects to support Union Pacific\'s unit train business at the Port of Greater Baton Rouge-Worked closely with the Public Safety Team, state DOTDs, and local transportation departments to implement our local safety initiatives, including the closing of customer crossings-Worked closely with Union Pacific\'s economic development/Industrial Development deparatments in growing new business and supporting existing business efforts.
