As Communications Director for Buckeye Hills Regional Council, I develop communications strategies that advance Buckeye Hills Regional Council’s work as a Local Development District for the Appalachian Regional Commission and the Ohio Governor’s Office of Appalachia; an Economic Development District for the Economic Development Administration; District 18 Liaison to the Ohio Public Works Commission; a Regional Transportation Planning Organization for the Ohio Department of Transportation; Ohio Area Agency on Aging Region 8; the Southeast Ohio Aging & Disability Resource Network; and the Southeast Ohio Regional Digital Inclusion Alliance. My responsibilities include: • Working collaboratively with our leadership team to manage communication with local, state, and federal elected officials for regional community and economic development and area agency on aging priorities; • Coordinating internal communication with more than 60 staff across four agency divisions; • Designing and producing materials for the agency website, social media, email, print, and local media; • Writing speeches, letters, articles, and press releases; and • Coordinating media buys for general advertising, human resources, and programmatic needs.
