As the Assistant Director of AudioBook Book Club, I involved students in reading audiobooks, allow them to engage in discussions during meetings, and give back to the community through charitable contributions which promote literacy and learning. The fundraising team has put together fundraisers with businesses in Gainesville. This past semester, we donated a top-of-the-line Hearing Aid to a UF student who could not afford one. We have done restaurant partial-proceed fundraisers, ran a fundraiser partnered with Krispy Kreme that made over $500 and have reached out to corporate sponsors to get involved in our mission.
