Experiential learning opportunities like internships, study abroad, or campus involvement were intimidating and often seemed unattainable. Without the assistance and council from my own student services and faculty community, I may never have had the insight and opportunity to apply for and gain my first internship, which led to my first job, and the next, and so on. Fast-forward to now, and whether I have been working in the USA\'s northwest or Spain and Europe, It’s my own non-linear career journey that has influenced my understanding of the importance of purposeful professional development and continuous education. I now find immense meaning in the council and support of others who may also be one piece of informed advice or word of encouragement away from launching successful careers of their own. Being the Accounting Relations Manager for WSU\'s Department of Accounting allows me to do just that: help Accounting Cougs find the connection, campus club, internship, job, or other opportunity that is the best fit for them and the exciting growth of their career journey.
