For nearly three decades I worked inside some of the most complex institutions in public life, from locked adolescent psychiatric facilities to public school administrative offices. That experience taught me two things: how these systems actually work, and how much the quality of a person\'s communication shapes what happens to them inside those systems.Clear Voice Consulting exists to close that gap.Most people navigating high-stakes systems already know what they need to say. The problem is knowing how to say it in a way that gets taken seriously by the institutions they are addressing. That gap is not a reflection of intelligence or effort. It is a reflection of access. Administrators, case managers, district representatives, insurance adjusters, and government agencies come to every interaction with institutional knowledge and professional communication skills. Most people on the other side do not.I coach individuals, families, and organizations to use freely available AI tools to level that playing field. Not to have AI speak for them, but to use it as a drafting partner that helps them put their situation, their facts, and their voice into documents and communications that get results. The goal of every engagement is to build the capacity for independent, effective self-advocacy that the client carries forward into every future situation.The goal is independence, not dependency.My background as a school administrator and LEA representative informs how institutional decisions get made before most people enter the room. My background as a psychiatric care provider working with adolescents in crisis gives me an understanding of what it means to advocate for someone in a vulnerable position. My background as an English faculty member and early adopter of AI in writing instruction gives me the practical skills to teach it effectively. Very few people bring all three.My doctoral research explored the relationship between Professional Learning Communities and Complex Adaptive Systems, the idea that healthy systems build distributed rather than centralized capacity.
