ABOUT ELAINE VICKERS
My goal is to explain the science that lies behind new cancer treatments and make it accessible to a wide audience.I’ve spent the past twenty years developing illustrations and presentations that describe cancer biology and explain the science behind cancer treatments. I’ve honed my ability to distil scientific discoveries and explain them to healthcare professionals in a way that helps them communicate better with colleagues and patients.The second edition of my book, A Beginner’s Guide to Targeted Cancer Treatments and Cancer Immunotherapy, was published in November 2024. I work across the UK and Europe, providing study days, online courses, and one-off presentations suitable for experienced oncology professionals and those new to cancer. My services include:• Developing and delivering in-person study days• Designing and creating content for online education• Providing one-off presentations for education days and conferencesI develop illustrations and presentations suitable as stand-alone slide decks, educational videos, in-person presentations, and scripts and visual direction for animations. Clients include: Cancer Research UK, Macmillan Cancer Support, GSK, Amgen, Roche, BMS, Pierre-Fabre, Celgene, NIHR, BOPA, the Medical Research Council, Royal Marsden Hospital.
