@National Defense University
This is a 12-week class that focuses on resolving conflict through non-coercive means. The goal of the class is to show students methods other than armed military intervention to resolving conflicts. The course focuses on building relationships of trust through cultural/perceptual sensitivity, forgiveness and reconciliation, conflict transformation, development of civil society and institution-building in a way not traditionally covered by military schooling. For that reason, the class is uniquely comprised of high-ranking military officials and civilians from the State Department and Department of Defense capable of implementing new strategies for war.
