Senior professional with 8+ years of experience in medicinal and synthetic organic chemistry and hold PhD in chemical sciences from Jammu, India and I did a postdoc at UTHSC, Memphis TN, USA. Part of a research team involved in IND filling of anticancer lead (an NCE which entered into a phase I/II clinical trials against Pancreatic Cancer).Currently, I am working as a Research Scientist at Mankind Pharma (MRC1), Manesar site.ObjectivesTo work in the field of pharmaceutical/Medicinal sciences with a progressive organization of high repute to profound versatility of modern sciences and translate the objective of growth with expansion of knowledge & pursue a challenging career in research organization.Research interests• Design and synthesis of novel chemical entities useful to society by synergistic combination of conventional as well as modern reaction methodologies.• Development of new synthetic protocols for synthesis of known or novel chemical skeletons by exploring modern concepts of chemistry like C-C/C-N bond forming reaction, C-H activation, Green Chemistry, Tandem Synthesis, Sequential Reaction, cyclization reaction and chiral resolution. • Expertise in handling air and moisture sensitive compounds and their purification etc.• Proficiency in structural elucidation using various spectroscopic techniques like UV-VIS spectrometer, FT-IR, NMR (300 MHz and 400 MHz), Mass spectroscopy (LCMS/GCMS/HRMS) and polarimetric analysis for chiral compounds.• Well versed with molecular modelling, MD simulation and pharmacophore modelling using Schrödinger (Maestro/Desmond) and AutoDock platforms.Specialties• Targeted drug discovery and development, Medicinal Chemistry (Hit to Lead and Lead Optimization), multi-step synthesis, structure–activity relationship (SAR) analysis, bioisosteric replacement, and optimization of ADME properties. • Design and conduct the research individually and/or in collaboration within or outside institutions • Preparation and submission of the manuscripts, funding projects and their progress reports• Communicate with the collaborators over phone/Zoom or personal meetings and discuss the progress of research project.
